Last night, I had a full-on tech moment.
I used to work at Caterpillar. Spent 15 years in web development and database management. Back then, what I pulled off last night in four hours, would’ve taken four weeks.
So, as most of you know we’ve been working on rolling out our Enterprise Edition of Coded Content. With that, comes a ton of tech work. From coding, to database setup, to server configurations, to putting it all together.
I’ve been geeking out diving into the nitty gritty of this over the last few months. But last night… Last night I used AI like I never have before.
I spun up a server on Digital Ocean from scratch.
Installed Django and all the frameworks around it.
Setup the virtual environment.
Did this all again because it was in the wrong “root” directory.
Migrated a MySQL database to another instance.
Tied the server to our new database.
Scheduled all of our tasks to run on the server.
Setup an API structure.
Coded the API functionality.
Tied our sub-domains to the server app instance.
Got security certificates installed and working.
Configured Git to merge and migrate code from dev to test to prod.
And on and on and on… Redis, Celery, Django, DNS, GIT, MySQL, VSC, Python, Nginx oh my! Head hurt yet?
If you know, you know—there are a billion settings to tweak on a server.
Started at 9 PM. Told myself I wasn’t sleeping until it was done. By 2:30 AM, it was.
Here’s the crazy part—AI did ALL of the heavy lifting. Me and ChatGPT-4o (and a little o1 for good measure) handled it in one long session.
Some people say AI is cheating. It’s not. It’s a tool. It’s not making us dumber; it’s forcing us to think differently. The game isn’t about knowing the answers anymore. It’s about knowing how to get them.
That’s the future. And I’m here for it. Are you?

WORD OF THE DAY: Energy
Back when I helped coach high school basketball in Orlando, the head coach would always talk about energy. It was his thing.
He lived it, breathed it, and made it our team's mantra. One season, we even did a team book study on The Energy Bus by Jon Gordon. If you’ve read it, you know the core message—positive energy drives success.
The coach would always say, “Get on the energy bus!” And let me tell you, when the whole team bought into that mindset, we played and lived differently.
Energy is contagious.
Positive energy is the kind you want to be around—it lifts you, motivates you, and makes you better. Negative energy, on the other hand, is a drain.
It sucks the life out of a team, a business, or even your personal life. The key is recognizing what kind of energy you’re putting out there and what kind you’re letting in.
What is energy, really?
At its core, energy is the strength and vitality required for sustained activity. But it’s more than physical; it’s mental, emotional, and even spiritual. As an entrepreneur, your energy fuels your business.
In sports, energy sets the tone for a game. And in life, energy is what helps you push through the tough days and show up for the people who matter.
Energy in action.
In entrepreneurship, energy shows up in how you approach challenges. Are you attacking problems with optimism, or are you letting setbacks knock you down? In sports, it’s about how you lift your teammates and push through adversity. And in life, it’s about bringing your best to every situation, even when it’s hard.
So here’s my question for you: What kind of energy are you bringing to the table today? Are you fueling your goals and your team, or are you a drain on the room?
Think about it. And hey, if you’re not feeling it today, just remember—there’s always room for you on the energy bus. 🚍🚍🚍🚍
Yesterday, the Nuggets crushed Philly. BOOM! Nailed it.
Tonight, I’m rolling with the Rockets. The public doesn’t agree, but I like to fade the public. Cleveland is coming off a solid win, but Houston is at home and looking to bounce back after a tough loss. Jalen Green has been hot lately, and I expect him to show up big tonight.
Take the Rockets. Let’s get it.
PICK: Rockets +2

I got asked just yesterday, “any tips on starting a podcast”? So like a true content guy does — I started laying it out! Podcasting is one of the best ways to share ideas and connect with an audience.
Whether you want to talk about sports, business, or your own personal journey, it’s easier than ever to start your own show. Launching the Knup Sports Show was one of the best decisions of my life. We are now 230 episodes in with more to come!
The key is to focus on creating quality content while keeping things simple.
The process begins with defining your podcast’s concept.
What’s your show about?
Who is your audience?
What makes it unique?
These questions lay the foundation for your podcast. A clear and focused topic will help attract listeners and keep your episodes consistent.
Once you have your concept, the next step is setting up the technical side. You don’t need a lot of fancy equipment—a good microphone (here is mine), headphones, and software like Streamyard are enough to get started. From there, it’s about finding a quiet space to record, testing your setup, and diving into your first episode.
After recording, you’ll need to upload your episodes to a hosting platform like Libsyn. This will distribute your podcast to platforms like Spotify and Apple Podcasts. If you’re also creating video content, YouTube is a great way to reach more people and grow your audience even faster.
Finally, promoting your podcast is key. Share clips on social media, email your subscribers, and encourage guests to share their episodes. Consistency is critical—stick with a schedule and always look for ways to improve.
We’re currently working on a long-form, evergreen guide to starting a podcast that will lay out every step in detail. Keep an eye out for it—it’s going to be packed with tips, tools, and real-world advice to help you launch your podcast successfully!
