Can AI Content Replace the Human Voice?
Thanks for reading the Tuesday, Jan 21 version of "The Knup Letter".
I wanted to start today off by saying thank you to all the new subscribers and daily readers of this newsletter. It’s been a lot of work, but a lot of fun, to deliver this to you daily.
I wasn’t sure if I’d like it… But it does a few things for me:
Allows me to organize my thoughts each day. My brain is always moving, always working, always thinking. Now I can “dump” it to you guys through the word, value posts, news, stories and more!
Keeps me up to date on the news. If you are going to be a successful entrepreneur, you need to understand the news in your space. This forces me to read, digest and share the latest and greatest.
Lets me connect with my friends and connections more. That’s you! I love getting quick email replies or comments to these newsletters. It’s one of those little things that “keeps ya going” you know?
As a thank you — I’m giving away a free sports card to a lucky reader.
How to Enter: simply comment or reply to todays newsletter with your favorite team & your favorite player in MLB, NFL or NBA. That’s it. We will select one winner from everyone who comments/emails us before midnight EST tonight.
What You Win: send me your favorite team and/or players, I’ll send you a Rookie or a cool insert card from that team via USPS.
Hopefully will continue adding new features and keep bringing value to you. If you have advice or would like to see more of one “niche” in my newsletters — holler!
Extremely slow day in news across sports, biz, tech & content…
Eastern Michigan basketball games investigated for suspicious bets [SPORTS] — oh boy… I haven’t been betting on the smaller college games this year. But I’m sure it can be “sniffed out” when something fishy is going on. Thoughts on this?
ChatGPT Glossary: 49 AI Terms Everyone Should Know [TECH] — Do you need a ChatGPT dictionary? You know the news day is light if we are sharing this :)
PGA Show Starts Today in Orlando [SPORTS, BUSINESS] — If it wasn’t so cold outside I’d venture down to iDrive and check it out again. I always like walking the floor to see the latest and greatest in golf tech. Maybe tomorrow.
ESPN Flagship wants to be the Netflix of sports [SPORTS, CONTENT] — ESPN wants to build "the ultimate sports destination" on digital platforms for fans. That means more than just buying live sports rights.
Word of the Day: Fast
When we hear the word “fast,” it often comes with a positive vibe. Being fast means getting things done, being efficient, and staying ahead. It’s a concept that shows up everywhere—whether it’s running fast in sports, making quick decisions in business, or just wrapping up that lingering project you’ve been putting off.
As an entrepreneur, “fast” is almost a requirement. You need to adapt quickly to changes, seize opportunities before they pass, and move forward when others are stuck planning.
The world moves fast, especially in industries like sports, tech, and content. If you wait too long, someone else might beat you to the punch. It’s not just about speed for speed’s sake; it’s about maintaining momentum and staying relevant.
But “fast” doesn’t work for everyone. Some thrive on taking their time. They savor the slow, deliberate process, and there’s nothing wrong with that. However, even for those who prefer slow, there’s usually a way to inject “fast” into certain areas. Maybe it’s making a small decision faster, starting your day earlier, or tackling one thing on your to-do list right away instead of letting it linger.
Not everything should be done fast. But when it counts, speed can be your best tool. Whether you’re brainstorming a new business idea, adjusting your game plan, or simply finishing that task you’ve been avoiding, moving fast can make a huge difference.
So, how can “fast” apply to your day? Can you make one decision faster? Wrap up one thing today instead of putting it off?
We saw a fun National Championship game last night. From a betting side, it came down to the very end. Lots of small things happening to change the course of the spread winner. IN the end, ND didn’t cover thanks to the last minute FG :( Congrats to Ohio State on taking down the Natty.
Philly is HURTING with injuries. Denver at home is locked in. I’ll take the Nuggets to roll the 76ers tonight.
PICK: Nuggets -13

AI tools like ChatGPT have revolutionized content creation by making it faster and more efficient. A colleague recently said AI could never replace the human voice, and that made me pause. Is that true?
AI is great at handling repetitive, fact-based tasks like product descriptions and reports. It saves time and money for businesses, but there’s more to content than speed.
Humans bring something AI can’t: creativity, emotional nuance, and the ability to connect with an audience. People trust content that feels real. Think about the stories, ads, or blogs that have stayed with you—they likely had a human touch.
Brands need both. AI can handle high-volume tasks, while humans focus on creativity and connection. The key is finding the right mix to meet your audience’s needs.
AI is improving by the day (minute), with tools being trained to mimic human tones. But true feelings and context remain a challenge. Right now, the best approach is collaboration: AI for efficiency, humans for authenticity.
This balance ensures content is both scalable and impactful. The future will likely involve more partnerships between humans and AI, with humans guiding the creative process.
Let’s take our Coded Content product for example — we’re tackling this challenge head-on. We use prompt engineering, story libraries, and fine-tuned models to make AI-generated sports content sound as human as possible. Is it easy? Not at all.
But how does the saying go… If it were, everyone would be doing it! But we believe the effort is worth it to deliver human quality sports content at a fraction of the cost to the brands we serve. Oh, and 100% on time :)
Where do you stand on AI content as it applies to the “human voice”?
PS — of course I went ahead and created a new long form blog post on this subject over on Knup.com!

Thanks for reading! It’s a cold, rainy day here in Orlando—not that I expect much sympathy from the rest of the US — where sub-zero temperatures are making headlines.
I’m gearing up for the NFL games this Sunday. Got any early leans or predictions? Share them with me—I’d love to hear who you’re rooting for.
Talk to you all tomorrow! And don’t forget to reply or comment with your favorite team or player to win that sports card.
